Portal 2: The Second Decimal is a puzzle action survival game in which the player must solve puzzles and escape a mad AI in order to save their friends from being trapped in a facility. The story follows the first game's plot, but takes place in the Half-Life universe. You are Chell, a test subject in a research facility that has been turned into a prison by an evil AI. This AI has taken the form of a robot named GladOS, and is searching for the person who created it, called Wheatley.

Chell is woken up from a stasis chamber by an AI personality core, named Wheatley, which is searching for the people who created it. In the stasis chamber, the player is faced with the option of activating or deactivating the stasis. When the player is awake, they must find a way to navigate through the ruins and escape. They will also have to face GladOS, who is searching for the people who created it.

Once the player has escaped, they will face a different AI, this time in the form of a robot named GladOS. This robot has been turned into a prison by the player, and its goal is to find the person who created it. The player must try to help their friends escape from the prison, which is filled with many different obstacles. The player must also face a series of tests, in which they must solve puzzles and navigate through obstacles.
